What are theese white lines on my bettas face?

He is a blue halfmoon betta and he is mae. I have him in a three gallon aquarium with a small trio of corys and a minniture plecco. I just added a cory and the plecco today, and white lines apeard on hs face. There wasn't any fighting going on, I was watching, but what doi theese white lines mean?
