Why dont people come together and end the monetary system?

we don't need money at all, its just something meant to create cles of people and it is the sole reason for just about every conflict in the world, that and religion but that's a whole other story. I know its going to happen eventually because the way monetary governments are set up today they can't last forever and will eventually collapse upon themselves but it would be nice if it could happen before I die.
