My mini RC Shooting Star won't work!?

When the little 1:64 scale car is on its charger it runs fine until I remove it when the charge light goes off. When I press the gas on it wont move! i believe its the capacitor in the car but where would i get replacements for it? Info about the capacitor: Ni-Cd (nickel cad.) 1/3AAA 1.2v 80mAh PLEASE DON'T SAY CHANGE THE CONTROLLER BATTERIES!
