Is this normal for a First Boyfriend?

this boy that i liked for a year and had a thing with for a couple months finally asked me out on a cruise in washington dc. it was rlly cute but its been a month now and im starting to feel like there isnt a spark. he texts me like we're buds and only hangs out with me in big groups. we hug everytime we say goodbye but its like a sideways "friendly" hug. we never hold hands anymore and he still hasnt kissed me.i kissed him on the cheek to give him a hint. hes the nicest and sweetest guys but id feel like we are getting anywhere. ive never had a bf and im only 14 so maybe thats how relationships this young usually are? half the time i feel like i dont deserve such a good guy when i feel this way and theres other girls that want him more. i dont even really know why he likes me cuz we've never talked about personal things like that
