Enlarged lymph nodes / CT scans? Need some clarification?

A CT scan is WAY sharper and highly detailed and in 3d. It will give the doctors a concise view of the suspect nodes. An x-ray just shows white signal where the enlarged nodes are. Not too long ago they had to cut you open to get such a good view of internal workings. This scan will allow a fairly good diagnosis short of a biopsy.
